Oracle Database Administration (Oracle DBA )
Job Description :
· ORACLE database regular monitoring, CPU Patching, Version Upgrades and release support etc.
· Installation of new Instance, Configuration of OEM and Grid Control.
· RMAN Backup/Recovery, setup/maintenance of Data, Oracle Partitioning, hands-on on new oracle 11g db features.
· Experience in handling large size prod databases, SOX compliance.
· Must be very strong in DB Performance Tuning Concepts, SQL Tuning, Analyzing the AWR report and use of various tuning advisors.
· Analysis and resolution of Severity 1 and 2 incidents which impact the application suite.
· Should be familiar in Unix environment and have complete understanding of Unix scripts (for DB maintenance activities).
· Participation within and on call support / rota based service provision as demanded by the business areas concerned.
· General support and maintenance activities to identify and prevent potential issues on the above applications developing into high severity incidents.
· Proactive identification of technical areas for service improvement and drive these through to implementation.
· Quick to liaison with Oracle support on SR and its resolution.
· Liaison with other application development / support areas.
Required Skills :
· Above 6+ Years of ORACLE DBA working knowledge of listed environments
· Unix (AIX, Solaris), Linux and Windows Operating system
· ORACLE
· SQL, PL/SQL
· Unix shell scripting
· RMAN Backup/Recovery
· Data Guard
· Oracle Database Performance Tuning
· Oracle Stream (Optional)
· RAC (Optional)
